FIRST LOVE 3.0 is the third release from First Love, a project conceived by Minnesota creatives, musicians and concerned citizens to assist the First Avenue club in Minneapolis during this unprecedented time when the entire live music industry is facing extraordinary, existential threats. Available on a one time subscription basis, First Love is a a series of ongoing digital releases on Bandcamp with all the proceeds going directly to assist First Ave.

FIRST LOVE 1.0 and 2.0 are still available; by subscribing to FIRST LOVE you will receive access to all past and future releases.

First Avenue/7th Street Entry has, for over 50 years, hosted some of the most diverse live entertainment in the world. First Ave has become the Musical Mecca of Minneapolis to shine in an international spotlight.

We are asking music makers and music lovers to come together to keep their First Love going strong.

FIRST LOVE wants to help keep the doors of First Ave open for another 50 years. First Ave is vital to the creative pulse of MPLS and is where rock history has been made over and over again. It’s where bands got their start. It’s where fans could watch those bands grow to national and international stars. It’s the common memory of the decades of shows that links an entire community.

I knew Bob before he was 'Slim'. Then lost touch. Always followed him musically from Buzz Barker and the Atomic Bums to his solo work. I was never much into listening to live music at First Ave or bars so I didn't really get to watch him play and sing. I did see him open for Roseanne Cash once. Take care Bob! clayb
